APT Therapeutic Riding
New APT Riding semesters begin Tuesday April 4th and Saturday April 8th!
The Ranch is thrilled to announce that we’re teaming up with a wonderful and talented CanTRA instructor to offer Amanda Potter Therapeutic (APT) Riding!
The APT program will pair Amanda’s certification, expertise and incredible energy with the quiet and patient Ranch horses (and brilliant volunteers as well) to bring the joy and journey of horsemanship to children with disabilities, beginning with a 30 minute private lesson format.
Amanda Potter began riding at the age of six and her respect for and love of horses has continued grow. Over the past ten years she has worked in her field of special education for the school board, and brings that experience to bear in her approach as a CanTRA certified therapeutic riding instruction.
Other certifications: Educational Assistant, American Sign Language, Autism Behavioural Science (currently attending)
We are very excited that this caliber of educator has chosen the Ranch as a venue for her program, and so pleased that the Ranch will finally be able to offer truly accessible horsemanship!
